Rahul Gandhi to Engage with Indian Diaspora During UK Trip:- Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament for Wayanad, is currently embarking on a 10-day trip to England.

During his three-day stay in London, the senior Congress leader will be delivering a talk in the British Parliament, engaging with the Indian diaspora, participating in a press conference hosted by the Indian Journalists’ Association, conducting private business meetings, and speaking at the renowned Chatham House think tank.

His journey is accompanied by Sam Pitroda, head of the Indian Overseas Congress. The purpose behind Rahul’s visit to London is to give a presentation at Cambridge University.

According to Mr. Pitroda, this is an addition to his UK trip. Furthermore, the Indian Overseas Congress’ UK president Kamal Dhaliwal mentioned that over two thousand people have registered to attend the Indian diaspora event.

On March 6, Rahul will address the Members of Parliament, Lords, Baronesses, and other attendees at the Palace of Westminster. Chair of the Indo-British APPG, Virendra Sharma, who has organized the parliament event, stated that the debate will encompass not just politics, but also culture, society, and business relations between India and the UK.

In addition to his talk at the British Parliament, Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to speak at Chatham House on the same day. Moreover, the Congress MP may meet David Lammy, Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs of the Labour Party.

However, this has yet to be officially confirmed. During his May 2022 visit to London, the BJP had expressed their disapproval of the meeting between Rahul Gandhi and Jeremy Corbyn, often seen as an “anti-India” figure due to his views on Kashmir.
